Oak Grove Cemetery was established in 1873 by a group of civic minded citizens who realized the need for a non-denominational cemetery for the people of Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. It has operated continuously since that time as a non-profit Association governed by a Board of Trustees. Each lot owner automatically becomes a member of the Association and is entitled to participate in the annual meetings. The land currently under ownership of the Association contains approximately forty acres. By purchasing a lot from the Oak Grove Cemetery Association you will receive the right to burial at that site. You will receive a deed or certificate of ownership to the property. In addition, you will receive perpetual care of that property. By perpetual care, we mean your property will be mowed, kept level and in generally good condition. A watering service for urns is provided for a small fee from memorial Day until frost in the fall. |
